I’m drawn to wood for one simple reason: Wood is real.
In a world that feels more and more artificial, wood feels like an ancient secret- something so rich in colors and textures that occurs on its own; not programmed, manufactured or engineered. Its natural luster, character and beauty almost seem too good to be true- somehow hiding just beneath a dull, ordinary surface.
Having worked with woods for the past 14 years, I find deep satisfaction in bringing out this often-hidden beauty. Being a member of the MN Woodworker’s Guild helps me hone my craft even further, along with connecting me to resources to provide the most value.
Most artists only get to create something to look at or listen to; I create something beautiful that you use every day.
